We embark on a superior, unique, and unparalleled process when it comes to building your horse arenas offering full installation and personalising each arena to suit your specific needs.
The site is surveyed. We then erect a grid of levels onto the percentage slope we recommend for drainage.
Sub-ace materialism is imported from a quarry to the site. This is then evenly spread over the area ranging from 80mm – 120mm depending on the natural ground and provinces. It is then stabilised with a percentage of cement and water, compacted, and left to set for 5 days. During this time, we began kerbing
We construct an exterior drain which diverts moisture away from the arena. We can place optional diagonal drains beneath the footing sand with a concrete sponge mix covering the pipes to avoid depreciation. These drains are constructed lengthways allowing for drainage whilst leaving enough moisture in the footing sand providing a better, longer, and more consistent ride.
We complete kerbing for arenas, PVC fencing, wood fencing, etc. This is done to client specifications.
We have the sand you need; be it fine, washed river, or silica sand. We will recommend the best material for your arena as we have a range of different sand blends, each created to suit the specific country and budget. As an option, we have a coconut fibre mix which is quite popular amongst our current clients.
To complete the job, we will place the topsoil back up against your kerbing or fencing, creating a presentable and elegant arena. You will also have the option of adding an instant lawn to further enhance the look of your arena.
Slique Horse Arenas offers an eco-friendly and economy stabilising Coconut Fibre Mix surface option.
It helps the footing sand remain consistent and damp throughout the year in all dressage, jumping arenas, training tracks and race tracks.
This fibre mix will dramatically enhance the performance of any sand surface and can be easily incorporated into new or existing sand. It has a unique composition of durable coconut coir fibre (precision cut to optimum length) blended with husk chips and pith fibres. These components are selected for their desired properties, which are required for an unmatched equestrian riding surface.
Our fibres are an ideal low-cost alternative and provides you with a high-level surface attributed with stability, consistency, and moisture retention. Our United Kingdom mix is altered slightly to prevent the surface from retaining too much water thereby reducing freezing.
